Keep in mind that you cannot use Silk Touch and Fortune on the same tool. You'll no longer waste any misplaced blocks, and you can gather blocks that you couldn't before. This means it's particularly helpful when breaking blocks such as Glass, Glass Panes, or Ice, since these would normally just disappear upon being broken. While you can use Silk Touch to get exact blocks, such as Ore blocks themselves instead of what they drop, this enchantment should be prioritized for getting unobtainable blocks.
